David McDonald’s Business Prowess That Supersedes Others

David McDonald is the Chief Operating Officer and President of OSI Group. Other roles he’s currently serving include being a board member of OSI Group, Chairman of the North American Meat Institute, Director of OSI International Foods (Australia) Pty Limited, and an Independent Director of Marfrig Global Foods S.A. after the OSI Group operations in Brazil and Europe were acquired by the MarfrigFrigoríficos e Comércio de Alimentos in 2008.

McDonald’s past executive roles include him serving as the Project Manager of OSI Industries. He has been with this company since 1987. He also earned his bachelors degree from the Iowa State University in Animal Science before working for the company.

His company, OSI Group, LLC., is located Chicago, Illinois. This company is a supreme, worldwide supplier of valuable and custom food products. They provide food to retail brands and the food service industry throughout the world. Their value-added food includes protein-added food products, such as beef patties, sausage links, pizza, and sandwiches.

Through McDonald’s amazing leadership, this company now has over 65 facilities, operates in 17 countries (in which China now has eight operational factories), and has 20,000 employees. Their capacities include delivering customer food products customarily to the businesses’ operations, developing custom food products, and sourcing through the processing and distributing of the worldwide food supply chain management.

He plans to make his company the biggest poultry producers in China, thus, in 2012, he created a joint venture with DOYOO Group and began a huge processing plant in the Henan province. In that same year, he launched different projects in other countries as well. He expanded by 30% the Poland Beef-processing factory, began a new feed mill in Shandong province, and built a frozen food processing center in India. He also had other projects in Hungary and Geneva. He also has a strategy of expansion in the European market In 2016, OSI Group acquired Baho Food.

With all his achievements, McDonald also has been recognized recently. He recently earned the Wallace E. Barron Outstanding Senior Award. He is one of the industry’s most respected authorities today.
