Linen Vessels

Linen Vessels

I'm so happy to share my latest work with you today, my first mixed media piece.  This work is the combination of all my most favorite things really....the texture of linen, block printing, and elevating every day things in my art work.  I enjoyed working on this piece more than I even imagined I would, so it's very likely that there will be more.  This work allows me to really play with texture and color in new ways and the bits of hand stitching are quite nice to do on an easy weekend afternoon or in the evening when the house is quiet.  Tell me, what have you been doing that's new or fun?

Hi there! Here I am! I totally love this one. Fabric + paint do a great combo. A nice mix.
As you asked...I've been sketching some stuff, I used to draw a lot when I was younger and after having kids, well...I bought some brushes, some watercolors and let's see what I get!
