You are Loved

As soon as I started working on the I Adore You pillow for my husband, my head was swimming with ideas for kids' versions, and after a little sketching, I started working on these two new pillows for Inklore Kids.

The first is for my little girl.  I sketched the house that I used to doodle as a child.  Did you have a house that you drew over and over again too?  I added a little door that buttons closed, and inside it says, "you are loved", a simple but sweet reminder.

I must admit it was a bit trickier coming up with a boy's version for my son, but as soon as I thought back to the time when he was just a little guy, I remembered the song I used to sing to him, and this pillow is born of that memory.

Both pillows also have a small pocket on the back that can be used to leave a little note, or if you're in the thick of tooth fairy visits like we are, it's an especially nice place to leave that tooth.

I hope you like these as much as I do; I got the thumbs up from my kids last night!  Oh, and these will be in the shop very soon.

Oh my goodness, these pillows are so adorable! And I LOVE that they have a pocket on them as well. When I was a little girl I had this small heart shaped pillow with a little fairy printed on it and a pocket for my newest lost tooth. The pillow, while I thought was so lovely with its lace piping, was made truly special because it was my sister's 1st. Recently, we passed it down to my 4 yr old neice to carry on the tradition.

I'm sure any child lucky enough to recieve one of these pillows will truly treasure it. And that door on the little house pillow is seriously too freakin' cute!
