How Waiakea Water Can Help People Attain Their Peak Amount Of pH

While many people think every brand of bottled water is just like all the others that isn’t always the case. One brand that is different is Waiakea. This brand offers an alkaline version of water to consumers which research has shown is very healthy. In order for cells and tissue to be healthy the alkalinity of what people eat and drink really matters. The human body should have an alkalinity level of 7.4 pH, just over 7 which is neutral.

Most brands of bottled water are acidic, with a range of 4 to 7 pH (0 is totally acidic while 14 is totally alkaline). However, Waiakea is one of those few bottled water brands where it is alkaline in nature. The average alkalinity of the water in their bottles is 8.8 pH. This is totally natural rather than artificially created. This level of pH supports health and is also a great antioxidant which helps the body remove free radicals.

Waiakea is sourced as Hawaii volcanic water. It is collected from the base of Mauna Loa which is an active volcano. Water, in the form of rain or snow, falls on this volcano all but five days out of the year. The water is naturally filtered as it goes down through the volcanic rock, pickup up very healthy minerals along the way. This process means the water is never stagnant like what comes out of an aquifer. Once the water is collected the Waiakea water pH is naturally around 8.8.

This company was founded in June 2012. The founder of Waiakea is Ryan Emmons and he also serves as the president. He has a number of advisors who he consults about business matters, such as Todd Bortel who was once an executive at Kraft as well as Kantar Retail. His company brought in $500K in the prior year.

Waiakea Hawaiian Volcanic Water doesn’t offer just a healthy beverage. They are also run with both an environmentally and socially responsible way. They donate 650 liters of water in Africa for every liter of Waiakea they sell, for example. They also use 100% RPET bottles which reduces their CO2 footprint by 90%.
