David McDonalds: the face of the success of OSI Group

The OSI Group company has David McDonald as their Chief Operating Officer. He is also a member of the board of directors at OSI Group. In the past, he served as its Project Manager. He is also the chairman of North American Meat Institute and has been an Independent Director at Marfrig Global Foods (S.A) since 2008. David joined OSI Group when Marfrig Global foods acquired the OSI Group operations in Brazil and Europe. David also serves as the Chairman of OSI International Foods (Australia) Pty company. He pursued a bachelor’s degree in animal science at the Iowa State University and after graduating, he joined OSI Group.

David McDonald at 52 years, has been known to achieve what other executives would achieve in their whole lifetime. He has earned the reputation as a competitive leader and a global director. During the 2008 Beijing Olympics, the OSI Group helped the Chinese government a lot to make the events a success. OSI China, through its lesser, supplied about 113 tons of foodstuff during the games. The foodstuff included; chicken, pork, eggs, dehydrated onions among other foodstuffs. Their good customer services and delivery of fresh food products were evident during the Olympics since no complaints were reported about their food products. David has spearheaded many of OSI Group projects that have become successful. He has made a crew that is able to travel worldwide to inspect operation techniques.

The OSI Group, with the help of its head; David McDonald has been deemed the best supplier of food products by Mc-Donald’s, Subway, Burger King and several others. David has strong managerial skills and is an exceptional team leader. He has ensured that the company is sustainable in many ways. He has served that company for about 30 years and has improved it so much that it is now a global company. David McDonald is a committed director. This has been seen through his work as he ensures that the company maintains its sustainability and focus. He aims at ensuring food quality, safety, and animal protection. These are the company’s main strategy features.

The company has over 20,000 workers all over the world. It prides itself on nurturing and maintaining talents of its employees. It has a low turnover rate since it hires people who want to be retained in the company. The company has bought and partnered other smaller firms so as to help them grow. Some of them are; Baho foods, Tyson foods among others.
