Cancer Treatment Centers of America Joins Partners to Improve Treatment Plans

Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) is a national network of five hospitals serving cancer patients in the United States. Founded by Richard J. Stevenson in 1988, after he was dissatisfied with the treatment options available to his mother who died of cancer.

Cancer Treatment Centers of America is collaborating with NantHealth and Allscripts. This gives CTCA physicians access to Allscripts Sunrise electronic health record (EHR). With this custom technical solution, Cancer Treatment Centers of America  has access to the input of hundreds of oncologist’s data and a thorough assortment of up to date care plans and treatments. Clinical Pathways combines the latest research and treatment plans available. Physicians have live access to cost comparisons, custom treatment patient-specific plans, evidence-based analysis of treatment options and history and current response-rates and drug reactions.

Clinical Pathways is available at all five CTCA Hospitals, supporting excellent treatment programs to all patients. It provides access to a library of current evidence-based treatment plans covering every type of cancer and sub-cancers. The library is updated and maintained by oncology nurses, government agencies and a nationally recognized board of oncology experts to name a few. Once the treatment plan is decided, physicians can go directly to ordering treatment medicines through Allscripts’ integration with eviti regimens with Sunrise’s system.
